It should come as no shock, that as of late, my cooking has decreased drastically… And by drastically, I mean — ceases to exist. Unless of course, you count flipping a switch on my VitaMix. In that case, I haven’t slowed down a bit.
But seriously, I am not exaggerating… I am living off of smoothies (and Whole Foods salad bars).
This Protein Smoothie Bowl is a personal fav of mine, as I love the contrast of the crunchy raw granola with the creamy smoothie. Plus, the chewing makes me actually feel like I’m eating something – which, at times, can be a nice feeling (ha).
Side note — I don’t get paid, I’m not sent free swag and I don’t lie – but I love me some Living Intentions Raw Granola – All flavors, I do not discriminate. I heart this stuff – plus, it’s hella nutritious. And to be honest, I dislike most raw granolas found at the stores… seriously, I do.
Protein Smoothie Bowls
1 scoop chocolate protein powder (I use Sun Warrior blend – the kind sans rice protein)
1/4 c hemp protein powder
1 T mesquite powder
1 T ashwagandha root powder (great for thyroid!)
2-4 T raw granola
In a high speed blender, combine all ingredients except for granola. Blend until smooth and pour into glass. Top with granola and enjoy!
