Fusing her educational Background in Graphic Design, her passion for healthy living and her love for all things food - Callie created Rawxies to inform, inspire, and most importantly, instigate change.

"In today's world, figuring out what is 'healthy' can be quite the task. Everyday we are forced to listen to contrasting view points on what is and what isn't healthy - it's exhausting, I know! However, one thing I believe we can all agree on, is what's not good for us. In fact, it's not so much what you put in your body, as opposed to what you don't put in your body. I've spent the past 7 years of my life studying and testing different theories - low carb, low fat - you name it, I've done it. Then one day, I stumbled across a simple idea of eating more raw fruits and vegetables- and, eliminating all processed foods. It was like someone flipped a switch and what I had been searching for all those years (optimal health), I had found! Physically and mentally, it all came together. My seasonal colds were gone, my allergies had deceased and my hormones (ahem, women) were more stable than they had been in years. And did I mention, my chronic stomach pains - a thing of the past!

Rawxies are my way of sharing with the world what whole foods have done for me. I want everyone to experience their many benefits! After all, we all deserve the right to live healthy and happy lives! And, provide that for our loved ones - i.e., parents, children, friends, etc... "

In the beginning, Callie found it hard to convince others of the above and noticed that most people had preconceived notions that a diet high in raw foods included wearing velcro sandals and snacking on tree bark. Something that her (dare she say) somewhat superficial friends were not having.

So, inspired by frustration, Callie created her blog Rawxy (foxy raw living) to prove that a diet high in raw foods could be just as (actually, more) appealing than it's counterpart. After all, what's more foxy than feeling and looking great!?

After a year of blogging, Callie created Rawxies (foxy raw treats) to bring foxy raw food to the masses. In pursuit of her dream, Callie said goodbye to 27 years of living in the midwest, packed her bags and headed 2,000 miles west to where she resides now in California. Callie is passionately committed to helping people live healthier and happier lives and is excited to be part of the future of food.
